HARRIETTA, MI – A new optics brand has been launched that offers both the high quality of the best Japanese-made optics and a distribution channel that has never before been available to American shooters and hunters.  Clearidge Optics, a Michigan-based company, is the first consumer-direct optics brand in the country, selling its superior quality riflescopes primarily online.

Clearidge scopes are comparable to well-known brands that are sold through the industry’s traditional distribution system.  With direct-to-consumer sales at the Clearidge website, www.clearidgeoptics.com, and by calling the company’s toll-free number,  consumers don’t have to search for a stocking dealer for the scopes they want.  Best of all, they save significantly on prices because they buy directly from the importer.

“Our goal is to offer consumers products that meet their – and our own – high standards,” said Jon Jackoviak, president of Clearidge Optics. “We are shooters and hunters ourselves, and the scopes we sell are the quality we want for our own rifles. We would offer nothing less to our customers.”

The Clearidge brand has been launched with three scope series:

  • Clearidge Ultra XP5 Riflescopes – These are among the most versatile scopes on the market, with a 5X magnification ratio that allows close-quarter target acquisition, long-range tactical shooting, and everything in between.  Among their features are a rugged 30mm tube, side focus, resettable target-style knobs, and fully multicoated lenses. Two configurations are offered: 2.5-12.5x42mm and 4.5-22.5x50mm. Reticle choices include Duplex, Mil Dot, and German #4.
  • Clearidge Ultra XP Long-Range Riflescopes – For target shooters and varmint hunters, the Ultra XP scopes have target-style windage and elevation knobs, fast-focus eyepieces, and adjustable objective lenses that focus down to 15 yards.  They have one-inch tubes and come in a choice of Duplex or Mil Dot reticles.  Configurations are 4.5-14x40mm and 6-20x40mm.
  • Clearidge Ultra RM Rimfire Scopes – Small-game hunters and closer-range target shooters have their own Clearidge scopes, too, with the 3-9x32mm Ultra RM rimfire scope.  It has all the features of a big-bore scope – adjustable objective lens, finger-adjustable windage and elevation knobs, fully multicoated lenses, and one-inch tube, plus a choice of Duplex or Fine Crosshair reticles.  It also comes in a choice of black matte, polished black, or silver finish

All Clearidge scopes come with a lifetime warranty.  For more information or to purchase Clearidge scopes, go to our website, www.clearidgeoptics.com, or call 877-389-2252 (lower 48 states) or 231-389-0021 (HI, AK, and international).

ANNISTON, AL – Outdoor Media Resources has been chosen as the public relations agency of record for Clearidge Optics, a new Michigan-based company offering Japanese-made sporting optics directly to consumers.CLEARIDGE LOGO

Outdoor Media Resources, headed by Sherry G. Kerr, has specialized in the shooting sports and outdoors industry for 20 years.  The sporting optics category has been a mainstay of OMR’s client list since the company was founded, giving it a reputation as one of the most knowledgeable and experienced agencies in the industry and in the optics category.

“I’m intrigued by and eager to work with Clearidge for two main reasons,” said OMR’s Sherry Kerr.  “First is that the products are of very high quality, made by the best optics manufacturer in Asia.  Having represented other brands with products made there, I know these optics are competitive with the best on the market and that consumers appreciate the quality. Secondly, selling the products directly to consumers, primarily through the internet, allows online shoppers to buy these exceptional products at very reasonable prices and in the way they want to shop.”

Clearidge Optics’ product line currently comprises three riflescope series, including six hunting and target models with a 5x zoom ratio. Clearidge made a “soft” launch of its product line last year, with retail sales through www.theopticzone.com.  It will make its official launch with direct sales through www.clearidgeoptics.com later this month.
