Eukanuba Sponsoring Canine Village at EPIC Game Fair

Eukanuba will be the title sponsor for the canine activities and bring some of their most well-known sporting dog exhibitions during SCI Foundation and Quail Unlimited’s EPIC Outdoor Game Fair this September. The Canine Village, being organized by industry insider Dan O’Connor, will feature a Super Retriever Series trial, Big Air Competition, “ask the pro” sessions, and numerous opportunities for hands-on training seminars with the industry’s top trainers.

“If you’ve ever seen a bird dog lock up on a rigid point, or a retriever take a line for 100 yards across a cold marsh, you understand the talent, courage, and dedication of the well-trained sporting dog that brings out our unconditional respect and admiration. The team at Eukanuba respects the breed – and all its details,” commented Dr. Eric Altom, Senior Nutritionist for Eukanuba Pet Care. “It’s understanding the subtle nuances that help us make high-quality, customized dog food for all breeds, including the athletic dogs we love so well. These are the reasons we have embraced the EPIC Outdoor Game Fair – what better way to showcase the talents of these sporting dogs and provide dog owners with our best information than to sponsor this incredible event.”

The EPIC Outdoor Game Fair will provide hands-on opportunities – focusing on Education, Participation, Instruction and Competition across numerous outdoor disciplines. The Eukanuba Canine Village will feature all aspects of the event’s vision. The Village will have top trainers of Pointing, Flushing and Retrieving dog breeds on hand to pass on their years of knowledge to the event’s participants. There will also be seminars, requiring advanced registration on the EPIC Outdoor Game Fair website, where participants can bring their own dogs for some hands-on training opportunities. Other topics of seminars will include starting puppies, proper nutrition and health for sporting dogs, proper use of training collars, and more. In addition, Dancin’ Dog Productions will be filming the entire event for Water Dog TV.

“From the expert trainer to the individual just starting the journey of dog ownership, the Canine Village at the EPIC Outdoor Game Fair will be the place to be this September,” commented Dan O’Connor. O’Connor, who is leading the development details for the Canine Village, spent more than thirteen years at The Orvis Company and was responsible for designing and implementing the Orvis Dog Breeding Program. “We are thrilled that Eukanuba will be the title sponsor of the Canine Village because the company is renowned for their commitment to dog ownership in general and sporting dogs in particular.”

The EPIC Outdoor Game Fair will run from September 23-25 at the Foxhall Resort and Sporting Club near Atlanta, Georgia. More information about the event and sponsor opportunities is available on the EPIC Outdoor Game Fair website, www.epicgamefair.org.
